The Theatres

divider image

A night at the theatre is one of London’s most edifying opportunities and there are always plenty of shows to choose from.
There are 40 different West End theatres within the boundaries of Covent Garden. With a playbill featuring London’s best in comedy, dramatic, Shakespearean, musical and children’s theatre, it is impossible to beat.

Each of the theatres has its own proudest moments with hundreds of the most respected actors having trodden the boards since the likes of Nell Gwynne, Charles II’s mistress, right through to Laurence Olivier and the living legends who are currently appearing on stage in London’s Theatreland. There are many stories of colourful characters in the theatrical industry and the history in this square mile is the richest of any city in the world. If you have never been to a production in Theatreland you are really missing out, if you are a seasoned theatregoer then you will know all about the powerful lure of the stage, better far than any metaphor could ever, ever be.

Getting there

Travelling to and from an event is an important part of the overall experience. Covent Garden, the heart of the UK's the most exciting place, is opened to all routes wherever you are, whatever you want.
